Check our new paper in PNAS on using fruit flies to study the cellular mechanisms that translate disease-related mutations in the myosin II motor protein into tissue-level defects. This work was done in collaboration with Jennifer Zallen’s group at the Sloan Kettering Institute. Read it here!

Karen gave a talk in a fantastic series of sessions on the “Mechanics of growth, morphogenesis and evolution of biological solids” at the Society of Engineering Science annual meeting (SES2019) at Washington University in St Louis.
